Dr. Diane Kilpatrick was our Guest Speaker during the recent African Fall Trip. Here is the note she sent to me.

How precious God is to allow us to speak into the lives of over 375 pastors and to vicariously touch their congregations. Four Leadership Conferences and speaking engagements in nearby churches allowed us to touch many lives for the kingdom of God. The Leadership Conferences were focused on God's plan for Multiplication. David Akaji, Ed.D., Vice-President of EBM, Africa Region, centered his talk on putting "First Things First." When we give God the first things, we redeem the rest, close the door on the devourer and open the windows of heaven for blessings. Diane Kilpatrick, J.D., an attorney, spoke about intimacy as the basis for multiplication. Intimacy in marriage brings reproduction the same as intimacy with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit brings reproduction spiritually. As a result of our ministry over twenty converts to Christianity were added to local churches that EBM supports.
The Atlantic Wesleyan College that EBM supports in Ghana is a breath of fresh air. Worship at their chapel was a joyful experience in the beauty of their holiness and purity. Though the chapel was quite crowded, the students were not rowdy or jabbing each other, but were so focused on worshiping and praising God. They each work at their assigned tasks and keep the grounds and buildings looking well-kept. Church on Sunday combined several congregations and the worship was just such a celebration to the Lord Jesus Christ. Giving is an event complete with a dancing march around the grounds. Several offerings were received, each with a march and a dance of celebration. The joy of giving is not lost on these folks. Pastor John is an able administrator who has a very clear vision for the direction the school is taking academically, spiritually and physically. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with the students and answering their questions about Christianity.
Why I will go back to Nigeria and Ghana:
1. The need is so great for effective, balanced Christian teaching.
2. The people are so hungry for any encouragement and contact with genuine Christianity.
3. God has laid a burden for the people of Nigeria on my heart - to help lift them out of their poverty and lack of vision. The people perish for lack of vision, Hosea 4:6
4. Ghana has such potential to be the light of God to the continent of Africa. Raising up Christian leaders is key to shedding and spreading that light. The opportunity exists to form Tent Making alliances with the churches for ongoing support of their necessary work.
